Celebrate reading with Disney Book Month

It’s Disney Book Month, and to celebrate Disney has a great selection of fun titles at good prices for you and your little ones to enjoy.

The books are part of Disney’s Step Into Reading programme, with the first levels being for beginner readers. Step 1, titled “Ready to Read,” is aimed at children beginning to read and features big type and easy words, as well as rhyme, rhythm and picture clues. Step 2, titled “Reading with Help,” is for more confident readers and features basic vocabulary, short sentences and simple stories for children.

Disney Book Month

With many of the popular Disney characters featured in the titles, such as Peter Pan and The Jungle Book in the Step 1 range, and Finding Dory and The Good Dinosaur in the Step 2 range, there are lots of new memories to be made, imaginations sparked and creativities inspired. The book titles start at just R30 each (with prices depending on the retailer), so it’s the perfect opportunity to stock your bookworm’s shelf with a few new books and deepen their love of reading.

There are also a number of special Copy Colouring books available as part of the promotion. With these your artist-to-be can learn to draw their favourite Disney friends by copying the image and then colouring it in. Titles include Sofia the First, Frozen, and The Lion Guard.

Look out for this range of Disney books and copy colouring books at Pick ‘n Pay Hypermarkets, Makro, Exclusive Books, Bargain Books, Readers Warehouse and CNA, or online at Takealot. But hurry, because the promotion only runs until the end of September!

I love reading books. I love the Disney characters. This is a win for me and the price is decent.
