Dog Diaries: Mission Impawsible

Junior is back, and this time he’s heading to Hollywood! Well at least he thinks he is…

Mission Impawsible, the third book in the popular Dog Diaries series by Steven Butler and James Patterson, is now available. This illustrated novel stars Junior, the pet dog of Rafe Khatchadorian, and is told from the point of view of this very happy pooch.

Your children will laugh as they read about Junior’s latest humdinger adventures, with hilarious conversations as told from a dog’s perspective. You’ll learn about the rules for when a dog’s best friend comes home, and also get firsthand insight into how best to perform a happy dance. The black and white illustrations by Richard Watson will have you all giggling as an already humourous tale is brought to life.

Junior is super excited because he’s caught wind of a bark-tastic trip and he can’t wait to head to Hollywood with his family on holiday. Even better, his pooch pals are coming with! But the excitement is short-lived as the furry friends are instead sent away to Barking Meadows Care Retreat. Although devastated, Junior soon perks up when he enjoys the pampering on offer. Come food time, however, and it becomes clear that all is not as it seems. In fact, it’s a disaster and Junior is forced to save the other dogs from becoming vegetable-zombies!

Mission Impawsible is a fun story for children to enjoy, for young readers to read alone or for early readers to read together with their mom or dad. Junior is ready and waiting for his new furless friend to join him on a new waggy-tail-licious adventure.

Dog Diaries: Mission Impawsible is available from book stores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R80. It’s recommended for children aged six to nine years.
