Have a DC Superhero Summer with Prima Toys!

Both of my children love to dress up, and they can spend hours engaging in awesome imaginative role-play together. I love seeing them exploring and learning through their creativity, but when I heard about the new range of Prima Toys DC dress up costumes available I was even more excited! I’m a big fan of superheroes and to me seeing my two kids dressed up as the amazing superheroes from the Justice League makes my mom (geek) heart even more happy.

Of course they love it too, I mean what child wouldn’t love dressing up as Batman and help to save the day. Amy did a superhero theme in Speech and Drama this past term, and since then she’s loved racing around the house as the Flash or using her lasso as Wonder Woman. So it’s perfect timing then that these DC dress-up costumes arrived for us to have some fun with.

The costumes are great quality, and the attention to detail is fantastic too. They are easy to slip on and off with Velcro fasteners, and are available in three different sizes for children aged three to six years of age. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bigger grin on Ethan’s face as when he slid that Flash mask on. The Flash costume is full length and even has shoe tops, and it comes with an awesome plastic mask to slip over your face too. The Wonder Woman costume had Amy doing twirls and spins with her signature dress, armband, two gauntlets for her arms, belt and tiara. It had her looking so beautiful and yet so strong at the same time!

The new DC range also includes awesome toys, such as puzzles and stretch figures for you to spoil that comic book fan in your life (and I’m not only talking about Dad here). The range features DC characters, super heroes and villains, with the Justice League of Superman, Batman, the Flash and Wonder Woman fighting for good but also includes the anti-heroes of Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Cat Woman. There is also a DC Party Time costume range that includes shirts teamed with a headband or mask that allows your child to play as their favourite superhero.

Amy loves her miniature DC superhero Wonder Woman figurine, at just 7.5 cm tall these mini toddler dolls still pack a serious punch. And because any serious comic book fan is a collector at heart, there are six to collect including Bumblebee, Cat Woman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Super Girl. The Mini Stretch Justice League figures will have your kids giggling as each toy can stretch up to five times its original size before it slowly goes back into it’s shape.

Both girls and boys can enjoy the puzzles in this range, there’s an awesome DC Super Hero Girls puzzle as well as a Justice League puzzle and even a cool puzzle in a pencil case for your young DC fan. There are 40 Justice League Ooshies to collect too, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash as Ooshie pencil toppers. Keep an eye out for the villains too (Joker, Lex Luther and Bane), and look out for the special edition glow in the dark, metallic, translucent and gold plated Ooshies! You can also enjoy the Justice League squish collective Mash’ems characters.

The DC range is available at toy stores and online retailers. The mini toddler dolls are available for R89.99 each and the Mini Stretch Justice League figures for R199.99 each.  The DC classic costumes cost R499.99 each (available in small, medium and large), and the DC party time costumes cost R169.99 each. The Justice League Ooshies are available for R49.99 each and the Justice League Mash’ems cost R69.99 each.

Thanks to Prima Toys for kitting us out in this awesome DC kit!
