Oscar the Hungry Unicorn Eats Christmas

We first met Oscar the Hungry Unicorn last year, and my kids have giggled about this fun story every time we’ve read the book since. Well Oscar is back with his insatiable appetite, and this time he has eaten Christmas!

It’s Christmas Eve and Oscar the Hungry Unicorn is hungry. He’s eaten the stockings, the Christmas tree, and even the presents. But much to Santa’s surprise he’s also eaten the magic reindeer food, and now his name has been added to the naughty list.

Santa won’t be able to deliver the presents now because without the food the reindeer won’t be able to fly. Has Christmas been ruined? Of course not, because Oola has an idea to make Oscar a Reindicorn and help Santa to deliver the presents.

This fun Christmas story will have your children giggling along with Oola and Oscar again as Oscar gets up to mischief because of his nibbling but ultimately saves Christmas too. With bright colourful illustrations and an entertaining tale, Oscar the Hungry Unicorn Eats Christmas is a great book to add to your Christmas collection this year.

Oscar the Hungry Unicorn Eats Christmas, written by Lou Carter and illustrated by Nikki Dyson, is available from book stores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R165. It’s recommended for children aged three to five years.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for sharing this fun Christmas story with us.
