The Playtown series from Priddy Books has always been a big hit with my kids. This new Construction Vehicle Set is no different, my son’s eyes lit up when he first saw the set and he’s been engrossed with them ever since.
The set includes three small board books, each shaped in the cut-out of a different construction vehicle. There is a digger, cement mixer, and a dump truck, each with bright colours and fun drawings to make them appeal to younger children.
You’ll meet the drivers of the vehicles in each book, as well as learn about the building processes on different construction sites. It’s a fun read, and you’ll be able to discuss the pictures in the books as well as read the short descriptions that tie in. The text is quite advanced for small kiddies, but just looking and chatting about the pictures when they are small is perfect, while older readers can enjoy listening to the story too.
The chunky books are sturdy and a great size for little hands to hold. This makes them perfect to pop into your nappy bag for an outing or a trip away.
The Playtown Construction Vehicle Set is available from bookstores and online retailers at a recommended retail price of R99. It’s a wonderful gift to spoil any little boy or girl with, and comes beautifully packaged in an orange coloured construction-themed cardboard box.
