Now that Summer is in full swing and the kiddies are on school holidays, everybody is going to be looking to cool off in the pool. While swimming is the perfect way to spend your time off we also have to remember to always be extra careful with little ones and the water.
Enter the Puddle Jumper. This swimming aid is said to bring “fun and confidence in and around water to kids and peace of mind to parents.” Ethan couldn’t wait to test it out in the pool, but due to Durban’s unseasonably rainy weather for the past few weeks he had to be content to just wear it in the house for a few weeks…which he did!
The first sunny day we were ready to test the Puddle Jumper out. It allows your child to be able to swim and explore the pool, featuring two armbands as well as extra chest support that ensures their head stays above the water.
Ethan enjoyed paddling while on his tummy but also quickly learnt that he could lie backward and move in a different direction. It gave him the confidence to have fun all around the pool, but also made me comfortable for him to do so knowing he was safe. Even if your child can swim this would be useful for them to wear if you aren’t able to hop in the pool with them and still wanted to keep a close eye on them. Obviously it goes without saying that you should always watch your children very carefully when they are in or near the water.
The Puddle Jumper features a single adjustable buckle at the rear to strap them in and it’s comfortable to wear thanks to the no-chaff, soft fabric cover. It fits children from 15kg to 30 kg. The only problem you will have is how to get them out of the pool!
Your children will love the four fantastic new designs that are available, there’s a crab, a turtle, a watermelon and a mermaid. The Puddle Jumper is available for R449.99 from selected Checkers, Toy Zone, Baby City and Sportsmans Warehouse stores nationwide as well as from Takealot.com and Loot.co.za.
Thanks to Candid Baby for sharing the Puddle Jumper with us.
