Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunnies

The Scruff-a-Luvs launched to much fanfare last year, the concept of children learning to adopt and care for an unloved, abandoned animal struck a chord with many parents. In addition to teaching children about being kind to animals, it’s also a fun, interactive activity that you can enjoy doing together and then your child is left with a soft plush to cuddle after too.

When you open your new Scruff-a-Luv you’ll just see a matted ball of fur inside the box. Your child will then have to bath them, dry them with the hairdryer and brush them to discover the little bunny’s true beauty. There are three Scruff-a-Luv Blossom Bunnies to collect (peach, yellow and mint), and you won’t know which colour you have until you open it up.

As we all know kids love playing with water, so your child will have lots of fun washing the little ball. As they wash the little bunny will slowly unravel and they can discover the little details on her ears and start to see her big blue eyes and button pink nose. Once she’s been bathed wrap her in a towel and dry her a little before using the hairdryer to make her fur soft and fluffy again.

Amy loved washing and drying her new furry friend, she wrapped her up and held her so gently and my heart was happy knowing she has such a kind heart to animals. She also loved brushing her hair and then popping her crown on with the brush and flower headband included in the box. There is also an adoption certificate to fill in.  It goes without saying that her new bunny (who she named Holly) has been bumped to the top of her favourite soft toys list and she’s cuddling with her when she sleeps at night and is brought along for the school run too.

Amy’s thoughts on the Scruff-a-Luv: “I like brushing it and I had fun playing with it by washing and drying it. I think my friends would like it too.”

The new Scruff-a-Luvs Blossom Bunnies are a limited edition new range with Lemon Drizzle, Posie and Peppermint. They are available from toy stores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R399.99. It’s recommended for children aged 3 years and older.

Thanks to Prima Toys for sharing the Scruff-a-Luvs with us!

It really is great to open a discussion about adopting a pet and taking care of animals.
