The Little Shop of Found Things

After reading the synopsis of this book I found myself intrigued by the storyline. A mother who searches for antiques to renovate and sell discovers her own daughter has a way of connecting with certain pieces and discovering the truth behind their origin and thus value.

After moving to a small town to start a new life and open their own antique shop the daughter Xanthe is drawn into an adventure that she could not have anticipated after feeling a connection to a special chalice at an auction. Before long she discovers that they are not alone in the house, a ghost has been waiting for many, many years to find someone with Xanthe’s unique talents and tasks her with righting a wrong from the past while threatening her future.

Transported to a different time she must use all her wiles to adapt and survive in 1606 to help solve the mystery and save the one she loves the most in her world, her mother Flora. She also finds herself stumbling onto an unexpected love, while making new friends in both the past and her present.

The Little Shop of Found Things by Paula Brackston is an intriguing combination of romance and magic, its the first book in a new series and I cannot wait to be captivated by the next story.

The Little Shops of Found Things is available for a recommended retail price of R306. It’s also available as an ebook.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for sharing this intriguing book with me.
