The Secret Life of Pets 2 is a fun movie that the whole family can enjoy together these holidays. A trip to the movies is a great adventure if you’ve got young children, and this one is guaranteed to make them laugh with the funny antics of the secret life of pets.
Max the dog has always been the center of attention, but that changes when his owner falls in love, gets married and has a baby. As the baby grows Max’s patience is tested with ear pulling, chasing and more…but one day that same kid puts his arms around Max, hugs him and says “I love you Max.” From that day on Max takes it upon himself to take care of Liam.
It’s this same love of Liam that causes Max to stress as he sees so many dangers lurking for his charge. It’s great timing then that the family is heading on a road trip to a farm. Although at first intimidated by the farm dog Rooster and a stalker turkey, Max and his friend Duke jump right into farm life and he soon learns a few valuable lessons and discovers his inner strength and bravery along the way too.
Meantime back in the city his friend Pomeranian Gidget, who was charged to watch his beloved toy, runs into a spot of trouble with more than a few cats, while another friend rabbit sets out on a mission to save an animal in trouble.
The voice cast was excellent, with Welsh Sheepdog Rooster voiced by Harrison Ford and rabbit Snowball voiced by Kevin Hart as standout performances for me. Many of the pets antics had us really giggling, and left us wondering what the secret lives of our own pets are.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 will be hitting cinemas this Friday, 28 June. You can watch a trailer for the movie below.
