Where’s Wally? The Totally Essential Travel Collection

We are celebrating 30 years of Where’s Wally? with this new anniversary edition, a travel-sized book that includes seven classic Where’s Wally? books.

The stunning travel collection features a gold foiled striped cover, an elastic to close the book, as well as six fun postcards to colour in. This means Wally-watchers can search for Wally on the go, or just at home in a beautifully illustrated book that will challenge even the most keen-eyed readers.

Where's Wally

The Where’s Wally? The Totally Essential Travel Collection is a fantastic collection of seven of Wally’s Adventures: Where’s Wally?, Where’s Wally Now?, Where’s Wally? The Fantastic Journey, Where’s Wally? In Hollywood, Where’s Wally? The Wonder Book, Where’s Wally? The Great Picture Book, and Where’s Wally? The Incredible Paper Chase.

Each adventure features a fold out checklist at the beginning and end, and includes hundreds of things for you to look for and check off the list. Every scene in the adventure challenges you to find Wally of course, but also his traveling companions Woof, Wenda, Wizard Whitebeard, and Odlaw. You’ll also be able to keep a look out for these traveller’s items in every scene: Wally’s key, Woof’s bone, Wenda’s camera, Wizard Whitebeard’s scroll, and Odlaw’s binoculars. There are also 25 Wally-Watchers that appear only once on his travels to be found.

Where's Wally

Each adventure includes a variety of scenes, Where’s Wally? is heading on a worldwide hike that sees him exploring the beach, ski slopes, airport, train station, museum and more. While in Where’s Wally? Now he will be transported to the time of the caveman, the pyramids, the Colosseum, Vikings and pirates among other historic periods in history.

The scenes are brightly coloured and amazingly detailed, and there is the opportunity to teach your kiddies with all of the different objects included in each one. It’s never easy to spot Wally, your eye will be attracted to his trademark red stripes, but then you’ll notice it’s actually just a boy wearing a red striped t-shirt or a man with red striped swimming trunks to put you off the trail!

Where's Wally

Where’s Wally? is recommended for ages 5 and up, but my daughter who is turning 4 in November absolutely loved spending time searching for Wally. This travel collection kept her engrossed, with her often saying to me ‘Just one more please Mom!’ It’s also a fun activity to do together with your little one, and you’ll enjoy their excitement when they do find Wally or notice the other interesting animals, people, or items in the scenes.

There’s only one question left to ask….have you found Wally yet?

Where’s Wally: The Totally Essential Travel Collection by Martin Handford is available at a recommended retail price of R255 from bookstores and online retailers now.

Last word from Amy: “I like Where’s Wally’s pants, because they are blue. I like his hat, because it matches his pants, and I like his red stripey top. He’s in the book and we have to find him, I like finding him because it’s fun.”

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for giving us hours of fun with ‘Where’s Wally?’
