Whoosh! Went the Witch, Room on the Broom Sticker book

Room on the Broom is a fun story from Julia Donaldson. It’s a tale that sees a witch and her cat flying on their broomstick, but they are soon joined by three animals who must eventually band together to save the witch from a dragon.

Whoosh! Went the Witch is a sound board book based on this popular story, offering young readers a fun introduction thanks to the “whoosh” sound that little ones will enjoy pushing over (and over) again.

This board book asks “Who’s that flying over the treetops? Whoosh! It’s the witch and her cat.” It then asks “What else can you see? And who could this be…” as other animals join the witch on her broom. The brightly coloured illustrations, repetition in the story, and the interactive “whoosh” sound really bring the story to life, and make this a wonderful version of Room on the Broom for younger children.

Whoosh! Went the Witch is available for a recommended retail price of R145 from bookstores and online retailers.

If your kids are fans of Room on the Broom then you must also be sure to check out the Room on the Broom Sticker book. It features different games, activities and over 400 stickers, and your kids are sure to enjoy seeing their favourite characters from the book. It’s the perfect gift for the school holidays to keep them busy on rainy days or trips away or even popped into a Christmas stocking for some early morning fun!

There are a variety of activities, including matching stickers over shadows, colouring in witches’ hats and decorating them with stickers, spot the difference and sticker jigsaw puzzles. There are also sticker scenes to enjoy, broomsticks to create and even a wordsearch. In addition to stickers and activities, each page features wonderful rhymes from the Room on the Broom story along with brightly coloured pictures of the characters.

The Room on the Broom Sticker book is available for a recommended retail price of R160 from bookstores and online retailers.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for filling our house with the whooshes of brooms and more fun with stickers (can you ever even have enough?).

Sticker books are the BOMB! I think I love them more than the kids do 🙂

Me too! I have to control my OCD when they don’t stick them exactly how I would though 😉 Letting them be creative can be challenging sometimes!
