Enchantimals

The Enchantimals range of dolls is new to South African toy shelves, an original franchise from Mattel to inspire the imagination and creativity of your little ones. It was love at first sight for my daughter and her Enchantimals doll Felicity Fox and her animal friend Flick, and I can see us adding to her collection of dolls with so many fun characters to choose from.

As with each of the other Enchantimals, Felicity Fox is half animal and comes with a special animal friend. This is to celebrate the special bond that children and animals have, a fantasy doll but one that is based on and celebrates the real love that children often develop with animals.

Felicity Fox has fox-like orange ears, and a beautiful orange pattern on her face to match her fox Flick. She also has a lovely orange outfit, skirt and shoes, with dark red hair that can be styled. Little Flick the fox is very cute, with a yellow flower on her ear and a soft furry tail to match Felicity Fox. She can clip onto Felicity’s arm so they can enjoy adventures together. The dolls are articulated so they can be made to sit (their legs can bend up at the waist), their arms also move to give their animal besties a different view, and their necks move so they can turn their heads too.

Bree Bunny is also a favourite, with her long bunny inspired ears and sweet bunny whiskers and nose any little girl is bound to fall in love. Amy loves dressing her dolls, so the fact that she can dress Bree Bunny up with her pink bunny inspired shoes, flowery skirt with a soft, furry ruffle and white collar scarf is a big win. She also has soft pink hair that can be combed and styled. Her bunny Twist has soft hair to stroke and can also be clipped onto her arm.

The Enchantimals range also includes Danessa Deer and Sprint, Sage Skunk and Caper, and Patter Peacock and Flap. Each doll is available at toy stores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R129.99. There are also playsets available to add to your collection, and children can even see the Enchantimals come to life in different short-form You-Tube content and a 60 minute movie on Nick Toon.
