Speedy Bosh! (Book Review)

Since we’ve made the change to include more plant-based food into our diets I was excited to check out the new Speedy Bosh! recipe book. The number one bestselling authors Henry Firth and Ian Theasby have included over 100 quick and easy recipes featuring all plants, all made in 30 minutes. It’s been great to spend some time with the book and we have enjoyed trying out the new recipes and getting inspiration for more plant-based meals.

Speedy Bosh!

I hadn’t thought to adapt some of my favourite meals to be plant-based, so my eye was immediately drawn to the Cheat’s Toad in the Hole with Curry Gravy, Henry’s 30 Minute Lasagne, Super Meaty Spag Bol, and Quick Fried Biryani. Because the Fry’s Meatballs are one of my favourites from their range the Cheatball Marinara Sub was at the top of my list to try first!

From hearty food to takeaways, from breakfasts to sharing, lighter, sweet and even drinks Speedy Bosh! includes a wonderful variety of recipes to try. Every recipe is accompanied by a photo which also makes it easy to see what you’re aiming to recreate and gives you a little bit of extra incentive to decide what you’re in the mood for (I’m looking at you Rocky BOSH! Bars). There are even a few cooking and food hacks in the book to make your life easier.

There is still so much I want to try in Speedy Bosh!, think Cauliflower Schnitzel, Butternut Squash Carbonara and Crispy Mushroom Soup. One thing’s for sure after reading through this book, there’s never been a better time to try eat more plant-based food. It’s better for our planet, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that vegan food is very tasty too!

Speedy Bosh! is available in hardback for a recommended retail price of R560.

Thanks to Jonathan Ball Publishers for sharing this recipe book with us.
