Kirby’s Dream Buffet (Game Review)

Kirby’s Dream Buffet is a fun party platformer for the Nintendo Switch. The game sees you rolling your way through different food themed levels, competing against your friends or the CPU players. You can play locally with two players and two CPU players or online with up to four players.

It’s a very accessible game with different difficulty levels for you to ramp up your culinary navigation skills and perfect your strawberry eating techniques. The courses are beautifully realised with vibrant colours making the cupcakes, strawberries and sweets even more mouth-watering.

Watching Kirby grow as you munch your way through the course is very satisfying and equally terrifying when a bigger Kirby bounces you off the track.

I enjoyed the race mode for its simplicity, but don’t underestimate how competitive it can get racing your way to Strawberry Mountains! When you want to take a breather then head on over to the mini-game to compete in some contained arena fun to chomp on falling strawberries. If you need a sugar spike then the Battle Royale mode will delight you as you fight over the tasty treats, knocking the other Kirby’s out of the arena but watch for their signature floating back move!

It’s simple, it’s fun so come along and join in the fun.

Kirby’s Dream Buffet is available from the Nintendo eShop for R270.

Thanks to Nintendo for sending me this game in exchange for an honest review.
