My kids have enjoyed reading the new Protect our Planet book. This non-fiction title encourages children to take action with Romario Valentine, an 11-year-old eco-warrior from Durban who is campaigning for the future health of our planet.
Romario has been involved with tree planting, beach clean-ups, avian art and other conservation projects in Africa, and is a wonderful role-model and inspiration for young nature lovers.
The book guides readers through important environmental topics, including recycling, forestation, pollution, renewable resources and climate change. It’s a fantastic resource as these topics overlap with the Foundation Phase curriculum and it even includes craft ideas, art activities and step-by-step projects.
Protect our Planet: Take action with Romario is a wonderful resource to help educate our children, despite being packed with information about serious topics the pictures and illustrations make this book accessible to even young readers.
Do you have an eco-warrior at home who you think would love to read this book and learn how to make a difference?
Thanks to Penguin Random House for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.
