What We’ll Build: Plans For Our Together Future is a new picture book from Oliver Jeffers. It’s a beautiful story about a parent’s love and the opportunities that life offers.

What We'll Build

It’s a story about laying the foundations for their life together, having a home to always keep them safe but also the imagination to explore, all told through rhyming text and brightly coloured illustrations. It’s about the many memories they will build and the adventures they will go on, but always comes back to the love they have for one another.

My children loved listening to this story, and it inspired a wonderful craft session that went on for hours. A cardboard roll became a telescope decorated with stars and a moon on, a piece of paper cut into a circle was transformed into a compass and paper flowers were designed to fit into a vase.
