WarioWare: Get It Together! is new to the Nintendo Switch, a collection of over 200 fun, crazy and quirky microgames that will have you in stitches of laughter.
Wario and his friends have been sucked into their latest videogame, but game bugs have corrupted the game and you must work your way through the different game levels to fix them. Different characters will join your crew as you progress through the levels on story mode, and with each one having different abilities you’ll be able to mix and match the characters to help you beat the microgames.
There’s the main man himself, Wario, who flies around with a cool jetpack and can dash forward. Or how about 18-Volt, the music-loving rapper, who shoots powerful discs? And then we can’t forget the disco king JimmyT, who chargers across the screen in style and loves to strike a pose.
The microgames are short and could be anything from hypnotizing a person to taking off a face mask, from avoiding being sucked up by a vacuum cleaner to plugging a nose, from turning off a light switch to washing hands by turning a tap on. As you progress the microgames will get faster and faster, until you’ll finally need to face a boss stage to finish the level.
If you’re a gamer you will love the Nintendo Classics levels, for example Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. If you should fail a level (which you will), don’t despair because as you complete the levels you’ll earn coins which you can then use to pay to continue if you reach the Game Over screen. It’s all kinds of chaotic fun, and with the option to play Story Mode with two players there’s even more chaos added to the mix. But this is WarioWare, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
There is even more multiplayer mayhem to enjoy in Variety Pack, where up to four players can take on 10 wacky games with the crew of WarioWare, Inc. Wario Cup is an online game mode with a rotating weekly challenge where you can win trophies to earn in-game currency.
WarioWare: Get It Together! is a fantastic, fun addition to the Nintendo Switch library. Perfect for some short afternoon gaming sessions on the weekend, and guaranteed to have the whole family laughing out loud!
