First Explorers: Astronauts

Even now as an adult space intrigues me, and so I think I was just as excited to read First Explorers: Astronauts to my children as they were to check out this new book!

This fun board book lets your kiddies take an interactive journey into space with the wonderful push, pull and slide mechanisms that feature in this new title from Campbell Books. Whether they’re moving the astronauts on the cover to simulate floating in space, or pushing a rocket to blast off, they will be reading this together with you and learning with a smile on their face.

Each double page features simple facts about travelling to the space station, short challenges, as well as things to spot. You will of course also be able to use the push, pull and slide mechanisms to learn how astronauts go to sleep, repair the space station and watch the sun rise and set 16 times a day (can you even imagine the beauty of that!).

First Explorers: Astronauts is a fun introduction to space and what the life of an astronaut is like. It’s a topic that promises to captivate your children, and they will enjoy the interactive elements that the push, pull and slide mechanisms add to your reading time.

First Explorers: Astronauts is available at a recommended retail price of R95 from bookstores and online retailers. You can also check out the other titles in the First Explorers series, including Dinosaurs and My Body.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for inspiring our budding scientists.
