Amazing Aeroplanes Sound Book

This year the original Amazing Machines picture books celebrate their twentieth anniversary, and this Amazing Aeroplanes title is available in an exciting new sound book format for the first time to encourage young readers to enjoy all that this popular series has to offer.

Amazing Aeroplanes Sound Book is the perfect introduction for little ones to travel by aeroplane. The book takes you through the different stages of air travel: from check in, to luggage being loaded, boarding procedures, a look inside the cockpit, flying, getting drinks and food from the cabin crew and finally landing.

Each page features rhyming text along with brightly coloured illustrations of the different animal characters featured throughout the series arriving at the airport to board their plane. But it’s the sounds on each page that will really bring aeroplane travel to life for children, and keep them choosing this book again and again.

Kids will soon learn to push the red circle to listen to the sounds of the airport at check-in and as the luggage is loaded onto the plane, to the roar of the plane’s engine as it takes off, the clacking of crockery as refreshments are served, and the sound of the plane landing and travellers applauding the pilot for a job well done. There’s even a handy on/off switch at the back of the book to ensure the batteries’ longevity.

Amazing Aeroplanes Sound Book is available in a hardcover format, but the pages inside are not that of a board book so it’s definitely a supervised reading title for little ones. With ten different sounds for children to enjoy as well as a fun rhyming story and bold, fun pictures it’s a good choice for parents who are wanting to introduce air travel to their kiddies or have a child who is interested in aeroplanes.

Amazing Aeroplanes Sound Book is available at a recommended retail price of R299 from bookstores and online retailers.

Last word from Amy: “I like it because you can push the buttons and do aeroplane sounds. I like to learn about aeroplanes and the airport.”

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for giving a little boy even more to love about aeroplanes.
