First Explorers: My Body

Toddlers love to learn about their bodies, the really fun part is when they practise pointing out the different parts you ask them about on you…if you’re not careful chubby little fingers are prodded into your eyes and poked up your nose all in the name of education!

First Explorers: My Body is a push, pull and slide book that introduces your children to how amazing their body is. The cover has a tab that when you pull it shows a little boy’s skeleton as he jumps on the grass. Another page features the skeleton again, but this time with details on what each part of the body is, along with an X-ray of a hand to show the bones inside your body.

As with the other titles in this First Explorers series, each double page features simple facts, short challenges as well as things to spot. You will also be able to use the push, pull and slide mechanisms to see a little girl thinking about what to do, children and animals on the beach heart’s beating as they exercise, and even an apple travelling to the tummy after being eaten.

It’s a brightly coloured board book that is a good introduction for little ones to learn their first facts about the human body in a fun, interactive way. First Explorers: My Body is available from bookstores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R95.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for helping our little ones to learn more about their bodies.
