Prima Toys is celebrating games this Winter, and the Games Festival is currently on the go with toy stores and retailers’ shelves overflowing with awesome games for the whole family to enjoy.
I have fond memories of playing boardgames during the school holidays with my family, but my passion for boardgames really started to grow once I was older. I visited Spiel, the world’s largest trade fair for toys and games, in Essen, Germany and my collection grew substantially. Over the years I have enjoyed many late nights and early mornings playing games together with my friends, and so I was so excited to share this love of games with my children too.
We have a boardgame bookcase in our lounge, and my two kiddies regularly go and choose a game to play. I can’t wait to share the rest of my games with them as they grow and their skills increase.
The Prima Toys Games Festival includes games for everyone to enjoy, from toddlers and young children to teens and adults, there are traditional family games and new games to discover. I love that games are being highlighted for this winter season and to coincide with the school holidays too. Boardgames and puzzles are a great way to have fun without screen time, and they also promote critical thinking, problem solving, as well as develop communication and social skills.
Whether it’s cold outside and you’re snuggled up inside a blanket fort, or a warm Winter’s day and you’re enjoying some time outside under the shade of a tree, there is a game for everyone.
