Favourite Stories is aptly named, a collection of 10 classic fairy tales on one CD that your little ones will enjoy listening to.
The stories are read by Floella Benjamin, a well-known children’s TV presenter in Britain. Each story also features sound effects and music, bringing the popular tales to life and making it a fun choice for relaxed afternoons at home or on the way to school in the morning.
The fairy tales featured on the CD include Beauty and the Beast, The Princess and the Pea, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Snow White, The Elves and the Shoemaker, and Dick Whittington.
Amy really enjoyed listening to the stories, and it keeps her occupied for over an hour if she listens to the whole CD at one sitting. During this time she usually sits on her bed, clearly captivated by the stories, but she also enjoys doing puzzles or colouring in while listening to the CD. She always discusses the stories afterwards too, and she definitely has her favourites of the favourites!
