Let’s Pretend: On the Farm

Let’s Pretend: On the Farm is a fun and innovative new title from Priddy Books. It’s a themed play set that includes a board book which challenges little ones to find things on busy farm scenes and to place 15 chunky puzzles pieces into the book’s pages.

The book and puzzle pieces come packaged in a presentation box, with a storage space for the puzzle. It all stores neatly and can easily slot onto a bookcase. The book is part of the box though, and can’t be removed and read separately.

The book itself is brightly coloured and filled with fun illustrations of life on the farm. There is a short story to read on every scene, which includes on the farmyard, in the fields, and off to market. There are also different questions for kiddies to answer and animals and objects for them to spot. Each scene also has different shapes that have more information about the animals and objects, and you’ll then be able to match the puzzle pieces using the shapes.

I love that Let’s Pretend: On the Farm encourages imagination, hand-eye coordination, problem solving and vocabulary development. It’s always fun to combine reading with other skills, so learning to build puzzles together with a book gets a thumbs up from us!

Let’s Pretend: On the Farm is available at a recommend retail price of R175 from bookstores and online retailers.

Thanks to Pan Macmillan for making reading even more fun with puzzle time too!
