I’m sure that many of your little ones would have dreamed of being a lion, in fact the lion’s roar is one of the first animal sounds we teach our children. But what if there was a book that could teach you all about being a lion? Lion Lessons!
The story follows a young boy who is determined to get his Lion Diploma. Dressed as a lion he sets out to learn the seven steps to becoming a lion from his lion teacher. The pair begin by stretching, and enjoy a couple of funny lion centered yoga poses. You’ll then learn the steps, which include looking fierce, roaring and choosing what to eat (hint: no spaghetti allowed!).
Your children will giggle at the illustrations and breathe a sigh of relief when the boy finally discovers his motivation, surprises his teacher and earns his Lion Diploma. If you’re looking for a funny story to share at story time, along with a few lessons of looking after your friends, then be sure to check out Lion Lessons.
Lion Lessons is available in hardback from bookstores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R185. It’s recommended for children aged four to eight years.
