Museum Kittens: The Pharoah’s Curse (Book Review)

Amy was delighted to receive the latest book in the Museum Kitten series by Holly Webb. The Pharaoh’s Curse sees a rare Egyptian treasure brought to the museum. The kittens are still being taught their ratting skills by the older cats so they can grow up to be museum guard kits. But this doesn’t stop them from being curious about the special new exhibit to the Egyptian Gallery, especially when rumours of an ancient curse begin to spread.

Museum Kittens: The Pharaoh's Curse

The kittens find themselves in trouble on their first shift as museum cats when the Egyptian Gallery is flooded and they are trapped. Could the pharaoh’s curse be real?

Both my children were captivated by the story and they loved looking at the illustrations. This book is a great choice for children who are just starting to read independently.

We enjoyed reading this new adventure together, and Amy loved The Mystery Kitten and The Saddest Kitten by Holly Webb too. She also has the Puppy Tales audio collection by Holly Webb which features six heartwarming stories. These titles are perfect for children who love animals, highlighting the themes of friendship and kindness as well as celebrating the bond between children and animals.

Museum Kittens: The Pharaoh's Curse

Museum Kittens: The Pharoah’s Curse is available from bookstores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R80. It’s recommended for children aged six to twelve years.

Thanks to Penguin Random House for sharing this fun book with us.
