Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail (Book Review)

Peter Rabbit is such a beautiful classic, and I’ve always loved sharing the stories created by Beatrix Potter with my children. So I was delighted to hear that Rachel Bright and Nicola Kinnear were working on a new picture book series featuring our favourite blue jacketed rabbit.

Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail

Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail is the first of the new adventures, and sees Peter Rabbit getting into a spot of trouble when he invents a magic washing line. Mrs Rabbit has asked him for help with the washing, but Peter comes up with a plan to get his chores done quickly so he can get back to playing again.

Squirrel Nutkin helps Peter and together the pair of friends reach Mrs Tiggy-Winkle with the washing. Although fun at first, unfortunately his invention soon lands the two in a predicament on the way home that leads to unexpected consequences.

Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail

The story includes the rhyming fun that we’ve come to love from Rachel Bright’s books, and together with the wonderfully bright and detailed illustrations by Nicola Kinnear, Head Over Tail promises to make Peter Rabbit loved by a new audience.

Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail continues to celebrate the mischievous rabbit that we all love, and it’s a perfect book to delight Peter Rabbit fans both young and old as he heads off on this charming new adventure.

Peter Rabbit: Head Over Tail is available for a recommended retail price of R170.

Thanks to Penguin Random House for sharing this beautiful book with us.
