Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday (Book Review)

The Ten Minutes to Bed series is a wonderful collection of bedtime stories that continues to delight my children. So we couldn’t wait to meet Twinkle the unicorn in her new story Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday by Rhiannon Fielding and Chris Chatterton.

Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday

It’s Twinkle’s birthday and she’s having a sleepover party, there are party games, gifts, a birthday feast with cake and even fireworks. If you’ve read any of the other five books in this series you’ll recognise her friends as Rumble the dinosaur, Belch the monster, Splash the mermaid and Flicker the dragon join Twinkle for a night of birthday fun.

Twinkle’s dad counts down to bedtime as the friends have a magical adventure together. With rhyming verse and beautifully coloured illustrations Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday is a gentle bedtime story that your children will enjoy reading together with you. There are plenty of fun surprises to spot (keep an eye out for the little ladybird on each spread) and cute characters to meet in this charming adventure that will help your own little one reach the land of nod.

Ten Minutes to Bed: Little Unicorn’s Birthday is available for a recommended retail price of R170. It’s recommended for children aged three to six years of age.

You can also read my review of Ten Minutes to Bed Little Unicorn and Ten Minutes to Bed Little Dinosaur, and the Ten Minutes to Bed: CD Collection if you’d like.
