Baby Touch and Feel: Baby Dinosaur

Baby Touch and Feel: Baby Dinosaur is a new touch and feel book from publisher DK. I have three of these amazing little books from when Amy was small, they are a great choice for first books for children and the perfect way to introduce your little ones to reading.

Baby Dinosaur, like the other books in this series, is a small padded board book that’s a great size for small children to hold and sturdy enough for little hands to turn the pages themselves too. It also features the popular touch and feel which encourages babies to develop sensory awareness and to actively engage with the book. The text is short and fun to make it easy to read aloud, while each dinosaur is labelled with pronunciation guides to help too.

The book has sparkly areas to explore, and each of the twelve pages has wonderfully different textures for your kiddies too. These include a Triceratops’ horns, an Edmontonia’s bumpy back and rough footprints, and even a Stegosaurus’ bumpy skin. The dinosaurs are all babies, so they won’t be scaring anyone, but they are guaranteed to catch your child’s attention as they hatch from an egg, hide behind a bush, or have a quick snooze. Knowledge about dinosaurs never goes out of fashion, so help them to learn and pronounce these interesting dinosaur names and they will be wowing their friends one day!

If you have a little one, Baby Touch and Feel: Baby Dinosaur will be a great addition to their book shelf. It will also make a wonderful present for any new moms or moms-to-be, the start of building the next generation of Jurassic Park enthusiasts!

Baby Touch and Feel: Baby Dinosaur is available from bookstores and online retailers for a recommended retail price of R85. It’s recommended for children up until the age of three years.

Thanks to Penguin Random House for helping us to learn even more dinosaur names!
