Mario Kart is a series that I’ve been playing for the past twenty years. My Mario Kart journey started on the Nintendo GameCube, but since then I’ve played this fantastic racing game across many of the Nintendo consoles.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch is the latest instalment of this popular franchise and now with the release of the new Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass you can expand the racing fun and enjoy 48 remastered courses from the Mario Kart series.
You can look forward to six waves being released by the end of 2023, with each wave including eight courses that can be played locally and online. Wave 1 is available now and includes the Golden Dash Cup and the Lucky Cat Cup. It’s been great to have new courses to play and we can’t wait for the other waves to become available later in the year to enjoy those too.
The Golden Dash Cup includes Paris Promenade (Mario Kart Tour), Toad Circuit (Mario Kart 7), Choco Mountain (Mario Kart 64) and Coconut Mall (Mario Kart Wii). The Lucky Cat Cup includes Tokyo Blur (Mario Kart Tour), Shroom Ridge (Mario Kart DS), Sky Garden (Mario Kart Super Circuit) and Ninja Hideaway (Mario Kart Tour).
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a regular feature on our game nights and we love enjoying four player multiplayer racing mayhem together with the kids. It’s a fantastic game for the Nintendo Switch and one that should definitely be in your library.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass is available as paid downloadable content on the Nintendo eShop for R450. Once you pay for the new Booster Course Pass you will immediately have access to the first wave plus future waves as they become available. You can also access this as part of your Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership. Don’t forget that you will need a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch to play this Booster Course Pass and you will then be prompted to download a free software update.
