Frozen II: An Enchanted Adventure

We have enjoyed the time we’ve spent with the Augmented Reality books we have; they are chosen from our bookshelf quite often and we enjoy seeing the bugs and dinosaurs come to life in our home.

Being fans of Frozen we were excited to check out Frozen II: An Enchanted Adventure, a new digitally enhanced book that lets your little ones learn about the characters, read the story and enjoy fun digital features that can be unlocked through a free app that you download onto your phone.

Scan the oval symbols on the pages of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Sven as well as Olaf to collect the 3D character portraits of the team. You can then display the portraits digitally in your own bedroom and even take photos of them. As you read the story you can collect Enchanted Crystals by scanning the diamond symbols on the pages. Once unlocked the elemental crystals will allow you to use secret powers like snow crystals to decorate your screen. You can also take photos of this.

If you’ve seen the film you will recognise the story, but just be aware that it doesn’t feature the full adventure. If you have a child who loves Frozen they will enjoy discovering more about the characters, reading the story which includes coloured illustrations, as well as having fun with the digital magic that the interactive story book includes.

Frozen II: An Enchanted Adventure is available in hardback for a recommended retail price of R180 from book stores and online retailers. It’s recommended for children aged six to nine years.

Thanks to Penguin Random House for sharing this fun book with us.
